Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actress who gained fame by playing Buffy Summers in the cult Buffy the Vampireslayer film. She also played Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales and also the short-lived NBC show of the same nameErica Paget on the CBS drama Early Editionand Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. As a California native, Swanson was interested in acting from the time she was a child. She began her acting career with a number of commercials. She appeared in an episode on the sitcom of NBC, It's Your Turn in the year 1984. Her first big screen appearance came 2 years later with the romance show Pretty in Pink. Swan is famous for her gorgeous blonde voice, breathless hairlisp, and the breathless voice. In recent years, she's started playing secondary characters. She won an award called the Young Artist Award in 1989 as the best Young Actress in Horror or the Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
