Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy of Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents who have a doctor for teeth and teacher in a school, supported and encouraged her initial passion for drama and theatre. Her initial dream to become a master monkey was surpassed by her desire to pursue a degree in theater and drama. Her meteoric rise as an actor in the young age was rapid and accompanied by her early successes. Following her studies in 1998 she was a participant in a French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning her acting career in earnest. While she attended in the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has stayed away from this upbringing, stating that she is not officially Catholic. In addition to acting, she pursued modelling and was the spokesperson in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited the collection of her photographs with the title Superficial. Her photographs focuses primarily on celebrity and fame. The camera's focus is towards journalists who scrutinized her during her rise to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major role in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie gained international attention for its box office success. It was also praised at awards ceremonies across the globe. It is the top-grossing French film in America. Following the release of this film, Tautou starred in numerous films ranging from British dramas and Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
